LADIES TOUR
Bhavi Shah
Bhavi Shah is eagerly looking
forward to the opportunity to
test her mettle against Europe’s
best golfers. Currently based in
Mombasa, the Kitale-born golfer
turned pro in 2011 after a colourful
stint at the amateur level. The
vastly travelled Bhavi is engaged
in a rigorous programme trying to
regain match fitness. She has been
out of competitive golf for the last
two years after sustaining an injury.
Competing in a Ladies European
Tour event will be a dream come
true for Bhavi who unsuccessfully
tried to get on to the circuit in 2013
via the Q-school in Morocco. She
is shaping up for the Mombasa LET
event by taking part in Safari Tour
having graced the opening rounds in
Nyali, Kampala and Royal. Bhavi will
be returning to the Ladies Asia Tour
in Hong Kong and follow this up with
active participation on South Africa’s
Sunshine Ladies Tour.

Rose Naliaka
Kenya’s pioneer lady pro Rose
Naliaka turned pro in 2005. Naliaka
is unlikely to play in the LET largely
saying she is unfit having not played
competitive golf for the last 10 years.
Since turning pro, she has mainly
focused on coaching having founded
the Rose Naliaka Academy in 2006.
Naliaka’s moment of glory as a pro
came in 2009 when she participated
in the Women’s world cup in South
Africa. She has had the rare honour
of playing alongside celebrated
British golfer Laura Davies, the first
non-American to finish at the top of
the LPGA money list and a multiple
winner of the Ladies European Tour.
