A 2018/2019-es tanév krónikája
egy plüssállatkát, amit nyáron
készítettünk az osztály néhány
tagjával.
A harmadik és egyben
utolsó találkozás az adventi
időszakban volt, december
3-án. Összeállítottunk a gye-
rekeknek egy olyan műsort,
ahol megismerhettek más or-
szágokat. A program része
volt egy japán tánc, angol,
német és egy szlovén nyelvű
vers, valamint horvát, és ter-
mészetesen magyar dalok is.
Erre az alkalomra sem érkeztünk üres kézzel, azok, akik nem szerepeltek a műsorban, házilag
készült süteményekkel kínálták a tanulókat és pedagógusaikat.
Az iskola énekkara is ellátogatott az intézménybe december 17-én.
Harcz Katalin tanárnő vezetésével az énekkar az aktuális repertoárjából énekelt kórusműve-
ket a kis közönségnek.
Számomra örök emlék marad ez a négy alkalom, és bár nem titkolt célunk, hogy megnyerjük
a pályázatot, nekem a legnagyobb nyeremény az volt, hogy láthattam a boldogságot és a fényt
a gyerekek szemében. Ezúton is szeretném megköszönni Kovácsné Bella Irén tanárnőnek a rengeteg segítséget,
ötletet és támogatást, hiszen ha ő nincs, nem jelentkeztünk volna, és nem ismerhettük volna meg
ezeket a csodálatos gyerekeket.
Palotai Fruzsina (10.D)
A 88 pályázóból 12 osztályt díjaztak – közte a 10.D osztályt is! – egyenként 400.000 forinttal,
melyet átutaltak az osztály számlájára, és kirándulásra lehet költeni. Az osztály a díjat a Salva
Vita Alapítvány jóvoltából egy ünnepi ebéddel összekötött gálaműsoron vehette át 2019. május
24-én.

A brief summary of the Playing English competition
Our school was honored to be again the host of the Playing English language competition in
the town, which was a joyful contest putting our English knowledge to the test. As in previous
years it consisted of two parts: a written and an oral one, which was a great opportunity for all
the participants coming from different secondary and vocational schools to show their creativity
as well as their general comprehension.
To our pleasure I and some of my classmates had the chance to try our hand at competing
again. In the beginning we did not think much of the challenge, but looking back now and con-
sidering how much fun we had, it would have been a big mistake to miss it.
The first turn in November was full of creative and playful tasks, so we had a whale of a time
filling in the papers. We were sure that we had done badly so we were taken aback when we
found out that our team had got to the first place based on the written part’s result.
Concerning the pre-task of the oral part in February we faced some difficulties due to having
many different ideas, but eventually we settled for something we were all satisfied with. We put
a lot of effort into our poster and tried to make our performance vivid. When the day of the oral
challenge came, we were quite excited and a little afraid, of course, because speaking in front of
others isn’t exactly our cup of tea. Sadly, we messed up a few things, however the audience did
not seem to mind. Every group then performed their presentation and the competition followed
with a few quizzes and listening tasks. Luckily, we did quite well on these as well, and after a
few thought-provoking tests, the organizers made sure that the participating groups could relax
a bit next to a cup of tea and some snacks. When the teachers announced the results, we did
not know what to expect, but when we learned about we had come to the third place we were
extremely cheerful. The gifts we got were amazing, and even though we did not achieve the first
place, we went home with a big smile on our faces. We were quite pleased about our achieve-
ment and glad that we had attended the competition, not to mention the experience we gained.
To sum up, the Playing English contest was excellently well-organized and ensured a very
friendly atmosphere. We will definetly participate next year too!
