basis of the part of the company that now employs more than 20 people at the company’ s office in Oslo.
Middleware is in many ways an” invisible” service, which will ensure that all systems interact and work as per the expectations of the customers. Although there are many utility companies on the SYSCO customer list, there are also several other large companies who use the expertise of the Middleware department.-Norgesgruppen are the biggest customer of middleware services, but also KPMG and Toyota are major customers in this segment, says Hjulstad. Jon Petter Hjulstad is responsible for SYSCO Middleware and leads all efforts to find solutions and appropriate personnel to the different projects that customers have requested. He is proud of the expertise the department has built up, and finds it difficult to envisage any systems that they would not be able to integrate.
Hjulstad also sees that solutions for integration with for example Oracle’ s Mobile Cloud Service( which is used to create mobile applications- ed. Note) and IoT( Internet of Things) is something that is increasingly coming up as demand from new and existing customers.
Although there has been a rapid growth of middleware department so far, Hjulstad therefore sees no signs that growth will stop soon. We are constantly looking for skilled people with experience of integration, he says, and encourages qualified individuals to get in touch.
