API( Application Programming Interface), is a solution that allows you to build new applications that retrieve data from existing databases or software. This is a subject which Viveros knows very well, and he is also co-author of the academic book“ Oracle API Management”. When he attended Open World in 2014, he became acquainted with Luis Weir- an API expert from Venezuela. The two found each other at an event for Oracle specialists, and kept in touch even after the OOW. When Weir later decided to write a book about API, he therefore contacted Viveros.-In The spring of 2015, Weir asked me if I would like to join him to write a book explaining how best to handle the API in cloud solutions, he explains. Viveros accepted the project with Andrew Bell and Rolando Carrasco. The result was a solid book

Sharing of knowledge and information through blogging, presentations at conferences or by writing books on special topics, are key elements of Oracle’ s program to develop expertise in their various fields. Based on the requirements that underlie the various certifications, this helps the knowledge communities both to develop and to raise the competence of colleagues in the industry.
Besides his own speeches at this year OOW, Viveros also joined a number of other lectures and events. He thinks this year’ s conference provided a lot of useful information about the API platforms and micro services.-We see an increasing demand for these kind of services, says Viveros, adding that he also sees great potential for these solutions in the future.
