Final exams are complete , residence halls are emptied , and the sun is shining bright on our quad . As June comes to a close , it ' s safe to say : summer is finally here . This time of year , you can truly feel the excitement at Stevenson .
From May 15 to May 17 , we celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2022 with multiple commencement ceremonies hosted on our Greenspring campus . Congratulations to our graduating Mustangs !
Just as we bid farewell to the Class of 2022 , we also open our gates to welcome our new Mustangs of the Class of 2026 onto campus this fall . Our incoming freshman are staying busy this summer , gearing up for their first semester at Stevenson with academic orientation and visits to campus for their New Student Course Registration days .
But we ’ ve stayed busy , too : unlike our students who are home for break , Stevenson ’ s growth is not slowing down for summer vacation . In fact , we have exciting developments to share before the new academic year begins .
When Mustangs return to campus in August , they will find that construction is right on track for two of our newest additions to campus . Owings Mills East will be 110 + acres of new athletic and recreational
space for our students . This extension of our Owings Mills campus will feature athletic facilities , including a state-of-the-art track and field complex complete with an 8-lane track . Directly next door on Owings Mills North , construction continues on our brand new Philip A . Zaffere library . This 42,000-square-foot facility will feature not only new library resources , but also classrooms , faculty offices , and meeting spaces .
We are thrilled about the continual upward trajectory of Stevenson ' s campus , but not all of our updates come in the form of new buildings . For Fall 2023 applicants , our admissions process will look slightly different ; we will be test optional , meaning that you can decide if you would like to submit SAT and / or ACT scores alongside your application . These test scores will not be required for full-time undergraduate admission , but if you would like us to consider them in our decision-making process , you can choose to submit them . Additionally , we are excited to announce new scholarship opportunities . The first is an eSports Scholarship , a $ 2,000-per-year award available to those who wish to play competitively on our premier eSports team all four years at Stevenson . We also now offer scholarship awards for Marching Band , Color Guard , and Dance Line for those interested in joining those programs here . With all of these updates in mind , there is no better time to come see Stevenson ' s campus for yourself ! We offer individualized campus tours throughout the summer in addition to a handful of Open Houses in July and August .
