From April 23-24, the entire Stevenson University community united to support the Stevenson Scholarship Fund for students struggling with unforeseen financial challenges due to COVID-19. Within 24 hours, we collectively raised over $73,000 across 229 donors.
The School of Nursing and Health Professions, together with the School of the Sciences Lab Services team, donated 350 boxes of gloves, 16 boxes of surgical masks, 6 boxes of face masks with shields, 2 boxes of isolation gowns, and multiple PPE kits to GBMC hospital.
Library staff have stepped into the faculty role to serve as instructors for 20 sections of online courses put in place for a handful of study abroad students who had their semesters cut short by COVID-19. Each librarian is paired up with a student and ensuring academic continuity while providing connection to Stevenson’s supportive community.
