“ Everything in the marketing field is shifting to the digital side , so I went with it ,” says Jordan Moore ‘ 19 .
Jordan originally transferred to Stevenson for baseball , but fell in love with the school and the Marketing program when he first visited . Alongside his three years on the baseball team , Jordan took advantage of multiple opportunities to hone his skills in the marketing field . On campus , he worked as a social media content creator for Stevenson ’ s Athletics department and helped manage the baseball team ’ s accounts . Additionally , Jordan interned as a marketing and social media assistant at Under Armour Factory Athletics and a content creator for Barstool Sports .
“ The major gives you the opportunity to branch out and use that digital marketing experience in other fields . Because of my love of sports , I used social media in the journalism field to make a name for myself and cover sports ,” says Jordan . “ The Marketing program helped tremendously in modernizing journalism with social media aspects .”
Knowing that it ’ s crucial to constantly adapt in his field , Jordan credits where he is today to the strong foundation in digital marketing that the School of Business and Leadership provided him through his years at Stevenson — using what he learned to set himself apart in a competitive industry .
Jordan was able to take the social media skills he learned , and the insights into how marketers and consumers think , and use them in his everyday life and in his career .

“ Whether it ’ s trying to get someone to read an article or buy something , [ these are ] very beneficial in today ’ s world ,” says Jordan .
Jordan took to furthering his studies after graduating from Stevenson in 2019 , and received his Master of Arts in Journalism from Emerson College in 2020 . During that time , he worked parttime for Boston 25 News as a sports writer and producer covering Boston sports . Following his graduate studies , Jordan moved to St . Petersburg , Florida to work as a news and sports producer at Spectrum Bay News 9 covering Tampa Bay sports .
“ Just recently , I took my dream job as a Social Media Engagement Coordinator at The Athletic ,” Jordan says . Whether it ' s the city life of Boston or the beaches of Tampa Bay , Jordan will always call Stevenson home . “ It ’ s where I met my fiancé , where I met some of my best friends in life , where I had the opportunity to continue my baseball career and where the stepping stone of my career began . It was honestly the best years of my life ,” says Jordan .
