1. The Chapter may upon majority vote, levy assessments or penalties against its Members; such assessments or penalties become part of the Member’s financial obligations to the Organization. 2. Active members must satisfy assessments by the established deadline or be subject to Involuntary Termination. Paid financial obligations/assessments are NON-REFUNDABLE. Section 6. Membership Penalties for Failure to Remain Financial A. Failure to be Financial may result in Involuntary Termination of membership pursuant to Article III, Section 4(B)(1). B. A fine of $50.00 shall accompany all delinquent Chapter Dues and assessments. C. Members that fail to give financial support to Foundation may be Involuntarily Terminated pursuant to Article III, Section 4(B). Section 7. Fundraising A. A minimum of one-third (1/3) of the proceeds raised in the name of the Organization by the Chapter shall be designated for Foundation. The remaining portion may be kept for support of local charities, as approved by the Internal Revenue Service. B. All contributions to Foundation should be received by the National Treasurer on or before June 1st. Article VIII. Quorum The presence of one-half (1/2) of the total membership in Good Standing shall constitute a Quorum for conducting the business of the Chapter in Mothers’ Meetings and Special Meetings (subject to Article VI, Section 1(B)). ARTICLE IX. Voting A. Unless specifically noted herein, a Member’s vote may be cast via any of the following methods: in person, voice, rising, show of hands, balloting, phone, email, online survey, absentee, or proxy. B.
