ARTICLE I. Definitions
“Active Teen ” refers to a Teen of a Member mother who is participating in Chapter
activities, sponsoring Age-Group Activities, and supporting the Foundation. Active
members are required to attend one National convention OR one Regional conference
(“Mothers’ Conference”) OR one Regional area workday OR cluster within each four

year period for the duration of their membership tenure. Her standing directly affects the
standing of her Teen(s).
“All-Stars” are the late teen-aged children of Members. Specifically, these teens are
between the ages of 16-19 years old.
“All-Stars-on-the-Rise” are the early teen-aged children of Members. Specifically, these
teens are between the ages of 13-15 years old. Teen can be 12 turning 13 by the
upcoming Teen Conference.
“Chapter” or “SWSD” refers to the Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack and Jill
of America, Incorporated.
“Teen Dues” refer to any monthly monies paid to the Chapter, pursuant to the Chapter
budget, in addition to any National and Regional per capita tax assessments.
“Fiscal Year” refers the period from June 1st to May 31st.
“Foundation” refers to Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc.
“Jack and Jill”, “National Organization”, “Organization”, or “Corporation” refers to
Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated
“Parliamentary Authority” or “RONR” refers to Robert’s Rules of Order Newly
Revised (latest version).
“Program Year” is June 1st through May 31st.
“Quorum” refers to one-half (1/2) of the total Teen Auxiliary membership in Good
Standing.
“Region” or “Regional” refers to the South Central Region of Jack and Jill of America,
Incorporated.
“Teen Auxiliary” or “Teen(s)” refers to the SWSD Chapter’s All-Stars on the Rise and
All-Stars of the Chapter. These Teens may not be the same as those included in the Teen
Group for purposes of National or Regional matters. This is a Chapter designation.
“Teen Auxiliary Meetings” refers to the regularly scheduled, monthly Teen meetings as
established by the Teen Auxiliary with proper notice.
“Teen Conference” refers to the Annual Teen Regional Conference.
“Teen Executive Committee” refers to the elected and appointed officers of the Teens
Auxiliary. This committee is chaired by the Teen President.
“Teen(s) in Good Standing” refers those that are Active Teens and Financial Teens (on
their own or via their Member mother).
“Teen Sponsor” refers to the dule elected representative from the Chapter that serves as
a guide and liaison to the Teen Auxiliary on behalf of SWSD.
Article II. Membership
Section 1.
Membership Eligibility
A.
Membership in the Teen Auxiliary of this Chapter shall consist of the
children (between the ages of 13-19 as of June 1st of the Program Year)
