Chapter Historian
Proposed Chapter Scrapbook Procedures
for the
Southwest Suburban Dallas Chapter of Jack & Jill of America,
Inc.
As approved by the Chapter on September 21, 2010
1. The Chapter is responsible for presenting a Scrapbook to the Region
during the biennial Mothers’ Conference for review and competition.
2. The Chapter Historian is responsible for selecting a theme and compiling
the scrapbook for presentation and competition at the Mothers’
Conference.
3. Each Program Year, Members must prepare at least one (1), 12x12
scrapbook page that celebrates their child’s Age-Group Activity. If
one Age-Group Activity is sponsored by several Members, only 1 page
needs to be prepared to celebrate that event. The Age-Group Chair is
responsible for ensuring each Age-Group Activity is represented, and that
all responsible Members are in compliance. Goal: every Age-Group
Activity during a given Program Year must be represented in the Chapter
Scrapbook for that Program Year.
4. All scrapbook pages should be prepared at the Members’ expense.
5. All scrapbook pages shall be submitted to the Chapter Historian within
60 days of the relevant Age-Group Activity. (Note: if you sponsor an
activity in May, then no later than July 1st of the immediatelyfollowing Program Year in years when the Region sponsors a
Mothers’ Conference – so that the book will be complete for submission
at the conference).
6. The Chapter Historian is responsible for preparing pages for official
Chapter-Sponsored Activities (Jack & Jill Day, the Christmas Party, and
Black Family Day) or other events that have Chapter-wide import (Ex:
Leadership Conference).
Friendly Request: The Historian may not have a budget for film each year.
Therefore, each Member is asked to support the Historian in compiling the
scrapbook by donating hard-copy photos (unless the Historian allows other
