Reimagine Ipswich is a guerilla music and art project, taking place in IPSWICH on Saturday June 29th, as part of Switch Fringe Festival. Expect Street Art, Music, Guerilla Gardening, Street Theatre, Dance, Pop Up Gigs, and anything else we can dream up. We want to encourage everyone in Ipswich to take to the streets with their art and music to reimagine our hometown. Please cehck the Fringe websites for updates as they are announced. STEP39 Is a graffiti artist from the east of England who had been painting in abandoned and unloved spaces since the mid 1980s. He works with land owners and private individuals to find safe legal spaces for people to be creative in and on. Painting both traditional graffiti lettering and huge portraits he is nationally and internationally recognised as one of the UK’ s most prolific and diverse graffiti writers. His client base includes Red Bull, the BBC, The Benjamin Foundation, NorwIch City Council and many schools and youth groups around the UK.

The Photo Hunt is a creative photography competition for amateur photographers. Established in 2008 in Bucharest, Romania by Banda Foto this will be the first time it has been run in two countries simultaneously. The aim of the hunt is for teams of amateur photographers to follow a route given by the organizers, taking photographs based on themes along the way, with the ultimate goal of being voted the most creative team of photographers in the competition.
Two of the founding members of Banda Foto- Chris Filip and Maria Barte- are currently 3rd Year Computer Games Design students at University Campus Suffolk in Ipswich. This will be their 8th edition of the hunt, meet them at 11am at No 16 Tacket St for your starting orders. Remember to bring your kit and a sharp pair of eyes!

Following the sucess of the last Buskers day back in early December, West End Music is once again playing host to some of Ipswich’ s talented acoustic artists. Allowing solo musicians and duets to busk in store, using our Acoustic Attic and showroom to other customers, friends and passers by.
