Yeah, it’s winter and yeah, we’re in Western NY but there are typically a few windows of opportunity to step through and hit it. Dam controlled streams can be the best bets when ice begins to choke the freestone streams.

Lower Right:

Notorious short strikers, fish pecking the fly several times per swing can be the norm. Strip set and you will keep the fly in front of them if you don’t hook up. Easy on the trout set.
