There is an exceptional place, just south of Playa Del Carmen, that can be the perfect place to create an unforgettable experience for your wedding. That place is called XCARET.
Seemingly an endless supply of venues and locations for ceremonies and receptions, the park of XCARET provides the environment for the magic to happen! The newest area, pictured to the left, is a bird sanctuary with several suspension bridges and waterfalls. The base of one of the waterfalls is a great ceremony location. There are two religious sites, one of which is the outdoor Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi while the other is the Chapel of Guadalupe, which is built on top of a small cenote. Los Pozas are two stone altars at the beach for civil ceremonies. Los Pozas is also a great location for a beach reception. Archeological sites are scattered throughout the park and can be used for ceremonies and provide a nice photo background. La Isla is a beautiful natural cave that is accessed through a spiral-shaped path. This path, surrounded by water, ends in an impressive tongue of fire. Henequen Hacienda, a beautiful replica of the antique agave estates of early twentieth century, is perfect for a Mexican themed ceremony and reception. There is also a wine cellar, La Cava“ Vino de Mexico Xcaret”, that is perfect and‘ cool’ for intimate weddings or engagement dinners. d
