2 On December 19, 2019,
we held our annual
Candle Lighting Service
to remember loved ones
no longer with us. This
year’s speakers were

Staff Chaplain, Hebrew
Rehabilitation Center
Boston, and Daryush
Mehta, Zoroastrian
Chaplain, Harvard
University, pictured here

3 Chris Farrow-Noble
discussed the ancient
design of the Labyrinth
on January 12, 2020.
Attendees learned how
to draw a labyrinth from
the ‘seed pattern’ and
walked a temporary
labyrinth in Bigelow
Chapel.
4 An estimated 70 vehicles
came to the Cemetery
to recycle about 4,250
pounds of electronics
on January 25, 2020.
We collected 17 pallets
of recyclables, up from
13 in 2019! This effort
was sponsored by Mount
Auburn’s Sustainability
Working Groups.
5 On February 22,
2020, we held our
annual Longfellow
Birthday Celebration,
co-sponsored by
the Longfellow
House Washington’s
Headquarters National
Historic Site. Following
a talk by Dr. Adriana
Greci-Green, Curator of
Indigenous Arts at the
University of Virginia,
guests enjoyed birthday
cake and a walk to the
Longfellow Lot for a
wreath-laying ceremony.
6 Satigata—a musical
exploration led by Chris
Berlin and Darren
Becker, two Master
of Divinity graduates
in Buddhist ministry
from Harvard Divinity
School—played
inspiring spiritual
music to an enthusiastic
audience at Story
Chapel on March 1,
2020.
