BEST WISHES TO FIVE NEW RETIREES

4 n this issue we bid farewell to five dedicated employees

I who all chose to retire after working at Mount Auburn for many years . The combined years of service of these

five employees totals 107 years !
Every one of these employees has left their mark and will be missed by their colleagues , as well as clients , visitors and vendors . We salute them for their many years of outstanding and dedicated service and wish them the best in retirement . They have earned it !

1 . Gardening & Pruning Crew Leader Johnny Colon ( L ), started in May 1996 as the Arboriculture & Gardening Supervisor . Pictured here with Gardener Roberto Rivera Torres ( R ) who started as a seasonal employee in 1999 .
2 . Office & Client Services Specialist Lisa Corbett , pictured with a wreath at our greenhouse , began in March 2000 as Administrative Assistant .
3 . Assistant Interment Supervisor Prax Santiago , pictured with retired President Dave Barnett at the Operations Center , started in September 2001 as Assistant Forman of Interments .
4 . Artisan Supervisor David Santiago pictured with retired President Dave Barnett at the Operations Center , began in April 2002 as Cemetery Operations Specialist .
Friend and greenhouse volunteer Anna Yeshilian died on July 11th at age ninety-seven . Anna was a charter member of and active in the Friends of Mount Auburn for nearly twenty years . In the 1990s , she often played the organ at Story Chapel at our annual candle-lighting ceremony . After a career as an administrative assistant , Anna also volunteered at the Gore Estate and at the Armenian Library and Museum in Watertown . She will be greatly missed !
