Current team members also take time to cultivate the next generation of competitors. “What strikes me the most is how the members of the team will always take time between their own WODs to encourage and help out . . . that’s just awesome!” In between training and competing, L’Usine plays host to a number of annual competitions. The largest, Firebreather, boasted $20,000 in prizes last year. The annual Delli Fraine raises funds for breast cancer, the L’Usine challenge runs in October each year, and Dom hints at a new surprise this year: “This one will be crazy!” Their business has grown far beyond anything the pair had expected when they first began unwittingly planning their futures together. Dom credits their brotherly bond: “We feed energy to each other to grow our projects even bigger than we originally started dreaming of,” he explains. “Like real brothers, we can be at each other’s throat one minute and joking two seconds after.” Beyond that, their business model is simple: follow the advice of CrossFit founder Greg Glassman. “We focus on giving the best experience possible to each and every member, be the best we can be, and get the best of everyone we reach. We call them athletes and treat them as such! Everything falls into place after that.”? PHOTOs: marie-lyssa dormeus W W W. S W E AT R X M A G .
