Plating Line Advice Will Green FIMF " Peace of Mind through Confidence "

Throughout our working lives I doubt any of us has experienced the business stress that has been caused by the ongoing health crisis and this has actually made obtaining good technical advice more important than ever .
We continued provision of our services to clients remotely throughout the lockdown period , as a number of enterprises worked on , supporting critical industries and infrastructure projects such as the ventilator challenge .
This once again demonstrates the strategic importance of the surface engineering sector in the modern age .
To improve resilience by gaining better control over their supply chain is an important factor companies are considering as a result of the pandemic .
The first adverse economic effects were felt in January with the shut down in China disrupting component deliveries to a number of major UK manufacturers two months before our own shutdown began in March .
There was also a problem experienced by some companies who introduced Covid secure measures and worked on whilst some of their sub tier suppliers decided to cease operations which adversely impacted their production capability .
Consequently , we see several instances where advice is being sought to assist businesses considering investment to bring surface treatment operations in house .
Surface treatment equipment that has been left standing and unused for three months during shutdown and is now being put back to work also generates enquiries regarding upgrading and resolution of engineering problems with existing facilities .
The person behind the advice concept is Will Green who has spent over 40 years on the engineering supply side of the industry realising capital projects for all industries worldwide .
Amazingly it was four years ago this year that we launched our independent technical advice service . How time fly ’ s ! Our judgement from a working life in the industry that such a service was needed has proven to be correct .
Consequently since 2016 , we have been continuously involved in a number of high profile and technically demanding capital projects for blue chip clients , to the combined value of millions of pounds , all with very successful outcomes .
The delivery of a successful project that meets all the client ’ s expectations on cost , timing and performance requires a multidisciplined approach . The specialised nature of surface treatment equipment along with the necessary supporting ancillary items such as water treatment and fume extraction systems means there had previously been a lack of independent specialist technical advice available . This can result in excessive reliance on potential suppliers to fulfil their obligations , which often works but can also put the client at a disadvantage .
The service offered by Will is to provide impartial technical advice and support throughout the whole project process from concept to completion , including review of technical submissions , quality inspections , performance testing and verification . The most important aspect as far as the purchaser is concerned is having peace of mind and confidence that their purchasing decision will prove to be well founded .
The expertise , knowledge and technical advice offered by Will Green is intended to save the client valuable time and assets and ease successful project realisation .
