Foundation Certificate in basic surface finishing
Choose a Technical block either Electroplating , Aerospace or Organic and then another 3 units of your choice , further details available on our website http :// www . materialsfinishing . org / education . htm
If you have already achieved the IMF Foundation Certificate why not enhance your skills further with one of our Technician Modules -
There are 8 modules to choose from : Principles of Electroplating Electroplating Practice Electroforming Paint , Lacquer & Varnish Powder Coating Automotive Surface Engineering Health , Safety & Environmental Materials Science
If you pass two Technician modules * you would be eligible for the Award of Technician Certificate , this qualification is recognised by the Engineering Council .
* The Automotive and PLV modules cannot be chosen together towards receipt of a Technician Certificate

IMF launch New Website
On the 1st September the Institute of Materials Finishing will be launching their new website ( www . materials-finishing . org )
What is different about this website is that we have a new members section which will allow members of the Institute to access areas such as webinars , seminars , useful information etc . that non-members will not be able to .
If you are already a member we ask that you contact Helen Wood ( helen @ materialsfinishing . org ) to be asked to be allow access to the this area .
You will need to provide her with your membership number and email address ; you will then be supplied with a generic password which you will need to reset via the Edit Profile or forgotten password section .
The membership will gradually be added to the web site from the
1st September , so please , if you see an email stating you have been added to the IMF website , read it and login and change your password .
We do have a number of members that have not supplied their email so please can these members supply this if they wish to access the members ’ area .
We do not hold any other data other than your Name , Membership No . and email on the website , and all membership renewals will continue to be as currently completed .
