Update information on the Institute of Materials Finishing

Then why not look at the Surface Finishing courses that the IMF have to offer .
Over 15 months ago the Institute of Materials Finishing took a close look at its position with regards as to what it could offer more to help people in this industry and see what improvements could be made .
The Materials & Marketing committee decided that to help course work , it was decided to offer webinars on subjects that students were taking to give them the opportunity to listen and get a better understanding of the topic .
These webinars are all available to members for viewing on the website if they have not been able to attend the ‘ live ’ webinar .
We have updated our webinars whereby students will receive a certificate to say that they have attended
This year we have decided to offer a ‘ revision ’ course for those taking the examinations and this has also been well received .
Uptake for our new refreshed course has been encouraging and continues to grow so if you are interested in learning more about surface finishing then why not visit our website , take a look around and contact us .

IMF Qualifications – Distance Learning
Our next start date for all Distance learning courses is 10th September 2021 . You may enrol from 1st August 2021 .
Foundation Certificate in basic surface finishing
If you have already achieved the IMF Foundation
Certificate why not enhance your skills further with one of our Technician Modules .
There are 8 modules to choose from :
Principles of Electroplating Electroplating Practice Electroforming Paint , Lacquer & Varnish Powder Coating Automotive Surface Engineering Health , Safety & Environmental Materials Science
If you pass two Technician modules * you would be eligible for the Award of Technician Certificate , this qualification is recognised by the Engineering Council .
* The Automotive and PLV modules cannot be chosen together towards receipt of a Technician Certificate .
