The SEA has launched a REACH group to assist companies in the surface engineering sector gain authorisation for the continued use of chromium trioxide . Any company in the UK that is using chromium trioxide for surface engineering applications will have to be covered by an authorisation once the existing authorisations , transferred from EU REACH , expire .
