At Surface World 2022 Elcometer will launch its new range of entry-level abrasive blast equipment .
Elcometer Contractor Portable Abrasive Blast Machines are cost effective , easy to use and Elcometer engineered for reliability . Using industry standard remote control valves , grit valves and 1¼ ” ( 32mm ) pipework , the Elcometer Contractor Blast Machines are highly competitive , easy to maintain and built to the same high quality as the Elcometer Performance and Performance HP blast machines .
Elcometer ’ s Performance blast machines are designed to improve blast efficiency , where the Performance HP high pressure blast machines ensure that the pressure at the nozzle is maintained for work at height or when using long hose runs .

Throughout the blasting and coating process there is a need for inspection and Elcometer are able to offer the inspector all the tools required to fulfil their inspection requirements . Premature corrosion is usually due to coating failure through the presence of flaws in the finished coating .
When testing the porosity of protective coatings on pipelines , ballast tanks and other structures in the field , once a flaw has been located and marked , it needs to be repaired .
Current methods for repairing or patching coatings in the field can vary wildly , and are not always the most consistent from repair-to-repair .
