Fraser Technologies launches Halogen-Free solder paste
Fraser Technologies , a specialist supplier of soldering and electronics cleaning products and materials , is offering its very latest halogen-free ( HF ) solder paste to the UK market .
Newly developed by leading global soldering solutions provider , KOKI , the HF S3X58- HF1100 solder paste provides a market leading powerful wetting performance , equivalent to conventional halogen containing solder pastes , whilst still complying with the Halogen-Free standard ( Cl + Br = 0ppm ): BS EN14582 .
The S3X58-HF1100 paste offers all-round soldering performance for general purpose applications , along with improved environmental and health and safety credentials .
Despite being HF , the solder paste maintains a low activation level at room temperature while still providing excellent melting and wetting performance during the reflow process . It also excels for ICT testing , flux splattering , voiding , printing performance , tackiness and electrical reliability by adopting powerful-wetting and flux coagulation techniques .
The paste also offers enhanced usability , exhibiting superior printing response with over one hour stencil idle time .
