Rösler UK ’ s ‘ significant investment ’ enhances its aerospace offer
Mass finishing specialist Rösler UK is ready to grow its presence in the North West aerospace sector after securing new accreditation .
Based in Knowsley , Rösler UK is focused on mass finishing and shot blasting technology and is a well-known and trusted supplier to the aerospace , medical and Formula 1 sectors as well as multi-national and small engineering companies .
Mass finishing or shot blasting is an industrial process which focuses on the surface finishing of plastic or metal parts . Rösler UK ’ s expertise offers aerospace manufacturers the kind of exacting standards required for an industry where the efficient working of multiple components is critical in meeting stringent safety standards .
The business has supplied equipment and systems for all types of aero-engine components , including airframe , landing gear and control system OEMs . Thanks to the renewed ISO and new AS9100D and BS EN ISO 9001:2015 accreditation , Rösler UK can now offer sub-contracted services directly rather than customers having to invest in expensive capital plant .
At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 , Rösler UK saw an initial slowdown in activity as a number of clients put work on hold . However , the company decided to make good use of the time by upgrading its equipment . This now means it has enhanced its offer as the economy starts to accelerate again .

“ 2020 was a difficult time for many businesses and we were no exception . So we decided to use the down time to make a significant investment in our business and we believe it makes us even stronger as many countries now steadily lift their restrictions .”
Rösler UK ’ s expert sub-contracting team has , at its disposal , more than 40 machines for mass finishing , shot blasting , centrifugal finishing and drag finishing . Daniel added : “ We have recently invested in new specialist AM finishing equipment to complement and extend our
in-house finishing / preparation capabilities .

Those options include , for instance , deburring , creating controlled edge radii , improving Ra for gas flow or reducing friction . Shot blast services include suctionfed , pressure pot and wheel blasting for coating or oxide removal , bond preparation .
Having the latest AS9100D standard in place and gaining the certification will allow Rösler UK to actively market and approach companies who have AS 9100D as a requirement of doing business with them . Armed with this enhanced offer , the business is confident it can win new business and expand on the services it currently offers .
