On days five and six, we visited the Canopy Walkway, standing over 118 feet in the air and stretching for a third of a mile. From that height, we witnessed God’s perfect creation in a way I had never experienced. On day 5, we watched the sunset; on day 6, we watched the sunrise. Both were among the most peaceful moments I’ve ever had. In those moments, nothing else seemed to matter—I felt completely at peace and truly happy. As the sun rose, I saw trees peeking through the clouds and two macaws flying together across the sky. I was so caught up in the moment that I didn’t even think to take a picture, and I don’t think I’ll ever see a view more beautiful than that. This experience really made me reflect on the Sacred Heart’s Essential Dimensions - Mystical, Ecological, and Ethical. Mystically, I felt God’s presence in the way He painted the sky so beautifully, making the moment feel special for me and those around me. Ecologically, the nature around us was breathtaking -
the sounds of monkeys, toucans, insects, and other wildlife created a peaceful and vibrant atmosphere.

CANOPY WALKWAY
Ethically, I think we all bonded through this experience. It gave us time to pause, reflect,
and appreciate the
moment together,
and I’m so grateful
we got to share it.
