4 water quality monitoring was carried out with a laboratory accredited by the EMA to ensure and corroborate that the water of the Mayakoba lagoon system and cenotes continue with good quality . ( 30 physicochemical , bacteriological and metal parameters )
The daily control of the aquatic vegetation continues to maintain the hydraulic functionality of the lagoon system that was created but that works naturally .
In Mayakoba , only electric boats are used for the transportation of guests , this to avoid contamination of the water by hydrocarbons , avoid emissions into the atmosphere due to burning fuels , avoid noise contamination and protection of fauna .
The Lagoon System is used to give eco tours to children and adults where they can observe birds and the 4 species of mangroves .
