The integrated management program for lakes and canals aims to maintain the hydraulic functionality of the lagoon system through water quality monitoring strategies , removal of objects that hinder or obstruct the flow of water , control of aquatic vegetation , and extraction of sediments . deposited in the bottom , preventing its contamination and maintaining constant vigilance for its correct use and thus avoiding contingencies of any kind .
