ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS
As every year , the environmental indicators were reported to PROFEPA in the Annual Statistical Exercise , in which the environmental achievements obtained in Mayakoba are reported .
RESPONSIBILITY
Mayakoba Hotels make use of more efficient equipment for heating water , reducing the use of fuel and the generation of emissions into the atmosphere . They issue their reports of emissions from fixed sources through the Environmental Operation License and the Environmental
Performance Certificate delivered to the state authorities .
The Waste Management Plans for the Fairmont , Rosewood , Banyan Tree , Andaz Hotels , the Mayakoba Condominium and Golf Course were renewed and were authorized by the Secretary of Ecology and Environment of the state of Quintana Roo . New strategies were established to minimize the generation of waste , mainly single-use plastics .
