133 specimens of vertebrates of 32 species were rescued , specifically ; 42 specimens of 12 species of reptiles . 27 specimens of 12 species of birds and 64 specimens of 12 species of mammals .

2 abandoned or feral dogs and 9 cats were rescued at the Mayakoba facility , provided with veterinary care , and subsequently placed in our adoption program .
