The Tree Challenge
It's all to clear to everyone why we need trees in our lives. They are our best chance of survival if we want to keep breathing fresh air. And yet, we tend to disregard this obvious statement and treat them as if they were an inexhaustible resource. We think that we can mistreat them in any way we want, because trees grow, right?
We are all guilty of the sin of wasting paper and how much harm does that do to our forests! Every 3000 sheets of paper cost us a tree, but we keep throwing paper away. Why is that not a clear signal for us to start planting more trees than we cut? They say that if trees gave off wifi signal instead of oxygen, we would plant so many trees that we wold probably save the planet, too.
So what are we waiting for?
Our next challlenge was to ask students from all cuntries to choose one tree that is representative of their environment and to tell its story from the seed to the axe - its whole lifetime in the span of a short video.
Watch the videos to find out the story of a beech, an oak, an olive tree, a carrubo, a pine tree and a poplar tree.
The best time to plant a tree is

The second best time is
