Water Footprint:
Water footprint is one of the most scariest footprint on the campus. 80000 L a day is higher than thumb rule of WHO 135 LPD. It comes to more than 500 LPD from the person served on the premises.
• Needs a long term strategy to overcome water conservation and water scarcity in long run.
• We recommend following: Hydrological survey and study of Water + Soil behaviour in drier weather. Water drawn should be repaid back. More easier option is to recharge Bore-well, Percolating well, and percolating holes. Every drop of water must be collected, consumed, recycled and reused till demand must come under permissible limits.
• Water harvesting from each roof should be stored and used from drinking use which can reduce 10 % of water demand.
• Recycle and capture of methane from black waste will bring down 40 % of water demand. The recycled water can be reused for gardening and flossing use.
As per our understanding we should take long term initiatives with aim to become swalamby. A self reliant organisation would change thought process of health Industry.
