Are multi-plug adaptors safe?
If you live in a block of flats,
you’ll know we take your safety
very seriously. Any obstruction
in the common areas can hinder
escape in the event of a fire. It
can also provide fuel to a fire.
We’ve all got more gadgets these days. As a result, multi-plug
adaptors are common in our homes. But are they safe? The
short answer is yes, but only if used correctly.
It’s vital the Fire Service has easy
access to all parts of the building.
That’s why we regularly inspect
our blocks and ask you to remove
items such as mats, furniture,
bikes and pushchairs from these
common areas. We know it can be
inconvenient but it’s necessary to
keep you safe.
