It’s been a “Glad Wrap” Year
Just like “Glad® wrap” products, the University has wrapped up a wonderful year.
Firstly, we were formally accorded the status of an autonomous university by the
Singapore government. The mission of lifelong learning reinforced in disciplines with a
strong social focus makes us distinct in the provision of lifelong education.
It represents a watershed moment for the university as it now enjoys government
funding but at the same time has the flexibility to set its own direction. For the alumni,
the transformation of the newsletter from the print version to digital is being progres-
sive. We are considering the environment when we go “paperless”. We do our small part
in saving the trees! Even our alumni card has been digitalised. Furthermore, our new
alumni logo encapsulates the energy and spirit of technology of such transitions.
We have become “SUSScribers” of change.
As such, we encourage alumni to join us in the various events organised especially for
us. Connect with us via the SUSS Backpack mobile app or Facebook to keep up with the
latest happenings!
