Club Foursomes
On a lovely day for golf at Surrey Downs, the teams representing their clubs played for the Surrey Club
Foursomes Championship across 36 holes as a qualifier for the knock out stages.
After a sudden death playoff for the final place in the knock out stages between Wentworth A and
Addington Palace B, Wentworth went forward to take on West Byfleet in one of the semi-finals. In the
other semi-final Sutton Green A played Clandon Regis A. West Byfleet won their semi final 1up and
Sutton Green won theirs by 2&1.
In a well played and tight final Sutton Green ran out the eventual winners against West Byfleet by 3&2.
All the players enjoyed the course which was in good condition, everyone was made very welcome.
