Easy Ways to Stay Healthy
• Wash Your Hands Often Use soap and warm water. Scrub for 20 seconds – don’ t forget your nails and between fingers! If there ' s no soap, use hand sanitizer until your hands are dry.
• Cover Your Coughs and Sneezes Use a tissue or your elbow. Throw tissues away and wash your hands afterward.
• Germs Spread Easily Bad colds and other serious illnesses can spread when people cough, sneeze, or don’ t wash their hands.
• Wipe down high-touch surfaces like counters, doorknobs, switches, phones, and remotes often.
• Stay Home When You’ re Sick Don’ t visit others if you’ re sick and ask sick visitors to wait until they feel better before visiting you.
• Get Your Vaccines Stay up to date to protect yourself and others.

• Post-Procedure or Surgical Patients If you have been instructed to perform dressing changes at home, it is essential to wash your hands thoroughly both before and after each dressing change to reduce the risk of infection.
