SURF SCHOOLS
In 2013 the Surfing Queensland Surf School network continued to
introduce the healthy and active sport of surfing to participants from
all over the world. Affiliated Surfing Queensland Surf Schools set the
benchmark and offer access to friendly, highly skilled and informed
coaches who can ensure you learn valuable skills while you have fun.
In 2013, the Surfing Queensland-affiliated Surf School network serviced
over 75,000 participants through its learn to surf programs stretching
along the Queensland coastline from Coolangatta to Yeppoon.
The introduction of the Surfing Australia Surf Groms program has defined
the way that junior participation programs should be approached. Within
its first year of activation, Surf Groms has seen more than 8000 junior
participants take part in this structured development program.
Surfing Queensland-accredited coaches are real surfers, accredited by the
National Coaching Accreditation Council to teach real surfing.
