Vertik-Al raises thousands
for children’s charity
Staff from powder coating
specialist, Vertik-Al have met with
representatives from Birmingham
Children’s Hospital Charity to present
a cheque for £13,704.75. This fi gure
represents the total raised by 17
employees who completed the
Simplyhealth Great Birmingham Run,
which was then matched by the
company. Gift aid added around £400.
This was the first time that the Birmingham-based
business had volunteered a team for the half marathon
– 13.1 miles around the city centre. Group managing
director, Angus Mackie felt it was a great way to build
inter-department relations, all while having fun and
