Blastcom UK take Netherton Foundry
‘out of the frying pan into the blaster!’
Netherton Foundry is a family owned business
located in South Shropshire sitting right in the
birthplace of the Industrial Revolution which
was the 18th Century's "Silicon Valley". Today
the heavy iron and coal industries have gone
and, for the most part, this corner of England
has returned to a quieter way of life.
Bryn Billingsley
Director of Blastcom
UK Ltd based in
Rowley Regis in the
West Midlands
realised that
Netherton needed
a larger high
performance machine
and after blast trials
at their showroom in
Sheffield offered the
industry standard STR-
RT1200 blast table.
Bryn went on to say
‘The STR1200 Table
Blast machine with
high-performance long-life inverter controlled blast wheel was the ideal
option for Netherton whose products vary in thickness and utilising the
inverter avoids product damage and distortion during the blasting
process. This coupled with a larger diameter blast table enabled
Netherton to increase production by 6 times!’

However, Netherton Foundry, inspired by the 18th and 19th centuries'
Shropshire Iron masters, design and manufacture hand-made,
traditional cookware in spun iron and copper, which is loved by
domestic cooks, food writers and professional chefs around the world.
Neil Currie added ‘Blastcom UK can offer a wide range of centrifugal
wheel and air blasting machines including spares, service and
equipment modernisation programmes for all types of blasting
equipment and with their knowledgeable and local support over
the years it was an easy choice for our future blasting strategy’
