Add an
electrostatic effect
To achieve maximum transfer
efficiency, an electrostatic
effect is added to the ProBell.
The charge is generated by the
60/100KV electrostatic power
supply within the rotary
atomizer. The bell cup itself is
charged, and the charge is
transferred to the paint as it
flows through the bell cup. The
charged paint droplets are
attracted by the grounded
target. An electrostatic effect
provides excellent wrap-
around to the back of the part.
Thanks to this electrostatic
effect, the ProBell rotary
atomizer produces a superior
finish with an extremely high
transfer efficiency.
Opt for modularity
and scalability
A key feature of the ProBell Applicator is its
modular, scalable design, which gives users
the flexibility to start small with one controller
and work their way up to more, or install a
complete system all
at once. This
modularity allows
users to meet their
production needs
and budget. The
ProBell incorporates
up to four
controllers:
electrostatic
controller; speed
controller; electronic
air controller and a
system logic
controller that is a
user-friendly
interface for intuitive
management of
spray parameters.
The ProBell
Applicator is offered
in configurations for
a fixed mount,
reciprocator, solid
wrist robot and
hollow wrist robot.
The hollow wrist
robot configuration
allows users to
remove the

applicator from the robot without removing
all the hoses, making it more convenient for
maintenance. The removable shroud also
facilitates maintenance. The turbine assembly
is a proven, durable design and the air
bearing has no parts to wear out.
In addition to delivering mounting
compatibility, the ProBell Applicator is
lightweight and compact, which allows for
lower payload robots or reciprocators, and
allows spraying in confined spaces.
In short, the applicator’s unique, scalable
design paired with superior quality, high
transfer efficiency and precision spraying
makes it easy to develop solutions to fit the
specific requirements of each installation.
Ask for advice
Paint lines have never been easier or less
expensive to automate. Automation of paint
lines should be approached as a long-term
strategic decision and a great opportunity to
redesign your process and explore your
entire value stream. For more details on
robotic painting in general or the ProBell
Rotary Applicator in particular, don’t hesitate
to ask the Graco specialists for advice.
