The Gema OptiFlex Pro with
PowerBoost has arrived
Gema have launched their
new OptiFlex Pro manual
unit and with it a revolution
in manual powder coating,
bringing power, quality &
control with the PowerBoost
function. The new OptiFlex
Pro delivers 110 kV high
voltage and 110 µA charging
current at the touch of a
button. With the increase in
power the OptiFlex Pro means
any coating can be applied
quickly and safely, even when
applying the most diffi cult
powders on complex parts.
Prior to launch the OptiFlex Pro went through
rigorous testing at various production sites
throughout the UK with particular focus on
the new features and the suitability of these
in a range of demanding environments.
The feedback and results confirmed that the
OptiFlex Pro has pushed the usual Gema
quality, reliability and robustness to the next
level with the PowerBoost function proving to
be extremely useful, especially when coating
large components at high speeds.
Last month we launched the OptiFlex Pro with
our UK and Ireland Distribution network during
a three-day event at our Swiss headquarters.
The event prepared all of our dedicated team
for the roll out of the new range of manual
units with in depth technical training on all of
the new features and technologies before the
units arrived in the UK. All of our distributors
have OptiFlex Pro units available ready for no
obligation demonstrations to showcase the new technology and the
benefits they can bring to your business.
PowerBoost –safe technology for high
power performance
PowerBoost combines a newly developed control unit, high power
cascade & redeveloped wide angled nozzle to produce 110kV and
110µA for the highest charging capacity available whilst maintaining
complete safety. PowerBoost works like a broad stoke brush to

quickly apply fully charged powder across the full width of the
powder cloud, this makes coating large surface areas faster and
more consistent.
The OptiFlex Pro incorporates the PCC mode from the previous
models, giving the complete charging range to suit all types
of coating and powder, controlled from the new OptiStar 4.0
control unit. The OptiStar 4.0 also comes with Bluetooth
interface with the Gema e-App as standard.
OptiSelect Pro - even more
balanced and comfortable
The concept and material selection for the new OptiSelect
Pro hand gun have been fundamentally revised for the
PowerBoost high-performance technology. The activation
of the PowerBoost directly at the gun enables the operator
to use the extra power anytime and anywhere. Despite the
upgrade to the integrated cascade for generating up to
110 kV high voltage, the manual gun is light and balanced
and at the same time robust and durable. And, of course
with ATEX and PTB tests, it complies with the highest
possible safety standards.
OptiSelect IG07 - proven injector
technology reinvented
The OptiFlow injector is used as standard on Gema manual
devices. The new version of the proven technology has only one wear
part. After replacing this one-piece nozzle, the injector is as good as new
again. The new OptiFlow injector measurably improves transfer efficiency
and takes proven injector technology to a new level. Some OptiFlex Pro
models are available with the OptiSpray application pump to meet the
highest demands for constant and reproducible powder lay down.
