ELECTROPLATING, ANODISING & GALVANIZING
From new distributor agreements to
state-of-the-art VR Technology –
Jacquet Weston Engineering brought major
developments to Surface World Live 2018
Jacquet Weston
Engineering (JWE) used
last year’s Surface World
Live exhibition to highlight
key developments to its
services. The company
announced important
additions to its European
distributorship agreements
while, at the same time,
introducing exciting
enhancements to its
design capability that
make the most of the latest
visualisation technology.
With more than 45 years’ experience, JWE
has established a leading reputation across
all areas of its market sector. With solutions
ranging from bespoke, fully automated
PLC-controlled equipment to manual process
lines, as well as the supply of spares, service
and consumables, the company’s success is
firmly based on its ability to fulfil specific
customer requirements.
“We have also acted as UK distributors for
leading European manufacturers and
products in the sector for many years,”
comments Nick Weston, Managing Director
at JWE. “These include rectifiers from
Giussani together with pumps and filters from
Lafonte. A range of equipment – from dip
and spin coating process lines and
centrifugal drying machinery to process
drying and curing equipment and blast
machinery – can also be supplied under an
agreement with L M Finishing Systems.”
Importantly, he draws attention to two
significant developments in this regard which
were announced at Surface World Live in
36
September 2018. “We were delighted to
confirm at Surface World Live 2018 a new
agreement with Progalvano to act as
distributors for its full range of plating barrels
across the UK, and also to be able to present
a range of new energy efficient solid state
rectifiers from Giussani,” continues
Nick Weston. “We believe that both moves
have strengthened our service to customers,
enhancing our ability to bring proven, highly
efficient equipment to the fore with every
installation.”
Weston. “This allows each customer to
benefit from a visual representation of
planned installations – from both
dimensional and operational perspectives
– which is an invaluable aid to ensuring we
supply the optimum solution for each
customer’s requirement.”

The news sits alongside other key factors
which JWE detailed at Surface World Live
2018. These included full information
relating to the company’s project
management and turnkey capability
alongside its extensive stockholding, while
the company’s ability to undertake dry-run,
proving demonstrations of all installations
that have been developed for customers,
ahead of shipping out to site, is also being
highlighted.
“We also brought attention to our
commitment to investing in highly advanced
design tools, including Auto Cad Inventor 3D
modelling system, P & I D software and our
latest development – a Virtual Reality system
whereby customers can effectively look
around a process plant,” continues Nick
