As a final destination or as a quick city stopover
before venturing further into Oz, Sydney offers a
travel trifecta: food, culture and nature.

The truism that it’s never possible to
enjoy good food and an outstanding
view simultaneously is swiftly debunked
at chef Peter Gilmore’s lauded Quay ,
located at the top of the Overseas
Passenger Terminal at Sydney harbour.
With its expansive floor-to-ceiling glass
windows, diners are delivered as close to
the Sydney Opera House as one could
hope for. (Tip: to get a closer view of
the Opera House hop aboard one of the
daytime ferries or book a tour of the
interior. Better yet, book a show!)
While Quay’s dramatic backdrop is
enticing, one of the city’s toughest
