Specialist Training
Continuing at MOD Worthy Down, you will enter the specialist training environment. The Logistics Specialisation Training course is 10 weeks long and it is here that you will be taught the necessary skills required to do your job.
On leaving Logistics Specialisation Training you will have gained the skills and knowledge required to ensure equipment is kept in the right environment and that the stockholding IT system accurately reflects physical holdings and locations.
You will be able to take customer orders and provide delivery solutions; you will have the skills to pack, document and despatch / deliver equipment to the end user in the UK and across the world.
Foundation Tour
During your first tour, you will consolidate your training and gain valuable experience that will prepare you for your first operational deployment.
To ensure you become a confident Supply Chain Specialist with broad knowledge and experience, you will be employed within at least 2 different departments within your first tour.
A first tour is always memorable and demanding but also highly rewarding; you will be given the time to develop your skills and become an effective member of an extremely close-knit team.
As a Supply Chain Specialist, you should expect to experience your first 4 month deployment within 18 months. Your subsequent operational tours will be varied and dependant on where in the world RAF assets are deployed in support of Defence Policy.
You will be provided with the opportunity to undertake Adventure Training( skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking etc) and be able to participate in all major sports at every level.
