When it was announced that Chat Republic would be creating another game, people were excited to see what it was all about. Superstar Streetz (formerly known as Superstar Karting) promised to be a new and exciting game which was different to Superstar Racing. Only recently has it come out of alpha testing it appears to be a cross between Mario Kart Racing with another online game called On The Run. You can now edit your car using credits which can be earned by racing (basically the ammount of points you get per race converts into credits, 100 points = 100 credits), you can also use CR$ funds to purchase new engines, car bodies etc, although many players feel the CR Dollars have been introduced to the game far too early as the game is only in BETA stage and may end up steering people away from the game.
On a plus note, the game is actually good fun, even without the modifications to your car you can still have a good time racing with friends or strangers in a 3 minute triple rocket missile and exploding mine filled race. There is a few cars and modifications which can be used even without paying any money, plus a
large map to race around collecting checkpoints and trying to avoid opponents mines which they have left scattered around, plus a load of other fun stuf to do.
This game really does have potential, but it is lacking with some things, especially the lack of a high-score board, which although I'm sure will be added eventually could do with being added as soon as possible to rev up the competitive aspect of the game. Once there is some solid advertising and more people playing the game on a regular basis I'm sure it will be a hit with people, however I feel this is one of those games which will need constant updating with new and exciting things if the game is going to be kept fresh, i'm sure Chat Republic won't dissapoint with this new endevour, it looks as if it could have a decent future ahead of it given the right care, its definitly worth checking out if you haven't already, try and get a few of your friends to play along as its much more compelling with more than 5+ racers on. You can download the game at their website superstarstreetz.net and also superstarkarting.net. If you have any feedback you can search for the Superstar Karting thread on the Superstar Racing Fanclub Forums.
