As a businessman your current focus is motivational talks, how does modeling fit into this genre?
It’s a passion. Had it been a hobby, I would not have made so many trips to casting calls and auditions on a
weekly basis. It’s part of me so I’ve learnt to juggle between my business and my career as a model but
both compliments each other. In 2007 I was spotted by a photographer by the name Jennifer Liebenberg.
She gave me my first intro behind the camera and I just loved it.
Which brands have you been an ambassador for and how does it feel seeing
your face on these products?
I’m currently the brand ambassador for Namibia’s locally produced maize meal – Top Score. Locally I’ve
worked with brands such as CRAN – Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia and the local Namibian contraceptive – The Smile Condom, just to name a few. It’s an honour seeing my face in newspapers
and on billboards, but I don’t carried away, as I have to present a brand in good faith. In South Africa, I’ve
done Johannesburg Fashion Week, a KFC advert and few other local fashion shows.
You recently became a father. Have you adapted to the change and what is it
like being a family man?
Fatherhood has changed my perception about life .That in itself is a daily challenge. I’ve adopted a
quote,”...Being a father is the most important role I will ever play and if I don’t do it well, no other thing I’d do
really matters...”
What has been your greatest challenge but also biggest learning curve?
When my mom passed a
away. I literally lost focus on life and just became someone else. I became a rebel
