This wild-fire with platinum hair not only recently put on the most spectacular showcase of Namibian Arts through COTA and with renowned Namibian artists at the inauguration of Namibia’s newest President Hon. Dr. Hage Geingob but has put on box
office smash hits at The National Theatre of Namibia and various other venues across
Africa & abroad for the past 3 decades.
Sandy is known for her exceptional work as Director, Lecturer and Mentor and is loved
and honored for her development work and passion projects with amateur and professional actors as well as special-abled scholars across Namibia.
Sandy just celebrated her last graduation ceremony at the College of The Arts
(COTA) but plans to run her Skyline Theatre from the Theatre School Car Park in Windhoek - where the backdrop is the setting sun and the magical Auas mountains.
Here follows a poem to celebrate a woman who believes in ululating with spirit as she
enters any building…
Sandy – you are a bouncing light
dancing through life
A contagious light that turns wind
into laughter and worries into
possibilities
You are as wild and wonderful as
the hair on your head
You are a motivating move
You turn mornings into magic
And somehow your afternoons
always turn into sundowners
Your heart chose your path because it is as big as the broadest
theatre itself
Your driving is atrocious and your
enthusiasm ferocious
You are that fun rainbow who
prefers to wear black and white
Sandy, your second name is the
same as Shrek’s wife and we love
you even more for that
Your husband is a strong moun
mountain who helped you plant all
these seeds that are now tall
trees planted firmly in support soil
Your children are not only the
gentle hard working gia
