SATCH
Showcases
Local
Talent
This is the 5th annual talent competition and SATCH Director, Liza-Marie Steinmann says it took months of
hard work and 12 part-time staff members, 3 coordinators, 15 adjudicators and camera crew to present a
world class event.
‘But what an amazing challenge! SATCH strives to promote faith, ethics and moral values in the talent industry. We focus on international exposure to industry experts and talent development. We are truly blessed to
receive the continued support and participation from
communities all over South Africa,’ she says.
Some of the elements that contributed to this year’s
event include the presence of Jaco Booyens from the
USA to scout talent for the international scouting platform - Actors, Models and Talent for Christ (AMTC).
Participants also had the opportunity to attend a
workshop by renowned actor and commercial model,
Aaron Marcus, who presented ‘Book the Job’.
About 130 of the performers were scouted to attend
AMTC this December in Orlando, Florida. They will be
able to perform in front of more than 100 of the
world’s top agents, casting directors and management groups.
‘This gives them the opportunity to attend this world
class scouting platform and showcase their talent in
front of US industry experts. From this could flow a
wealth of opportunities. We have seen many successes from South African performers,’ says Liza-Marie.
