New laws should open up more places to paddle
Paddle UK has been playing a key role in a new report by the All-Party Parliamentary Group( APPG) for Outdoor Recreation and Access to Nature.
The report, which gathered views from over 750 organisations and individuals, highlights that much of England’ s countryside remains inaccessible.
Those MPs involved said a more active and healthy country can be achieved by expanding access to England’ s natural spaces.
The report( https:// outdoors. inparliament. uk / outdoors-all-report) was launched in the Attlee and Reid Room, in the House of Lords, on the 15th September.
Accessing blue spaces is a key recommendation and, of course, is crucial for paddlers wanting to explore more of the country.
The desire of many is to expand access rights for swimming and non-motorised craft on England’ s inland waters. paddleuk. org. uk
