The words that define our Essex based race team are “ inclusivity , participation and fun .” Don ’ t be lonely ! Anyone from anywhere is welcome to join our team and do as much or as little training , travelling and competing as they can manage . We have a 60 + years age gap between our youngest and oldest paddlers , and we are proud of them all . One of our team even participated in the British SUP Championships whilst heavily pregnant !
Over the years , we have worked with some fantastic people to help us develop our skills and knowledge , including Larry Cain , Ryan James , Scotty Warren , Kerry Baker and Elaine Farquharson . Did you know that you can either claim your club or add your details to the GBSUP National Series website , and you will also be able to search for a local club to join ? We would highly recommend it .

As part of the GBSUP team , we understand the logistics , rules , regulations and hoops that race directors have to deal with in these challenging and changing times – as paddlers , we can all share their pain , as all we want to do is race !
We would ask you to bear that in mind when any disappointments come your way , be it a change of race date or missed entry in one of the GBSUP National Series races – you know the team want you to race , and they will do everything in their power to make that happen , but sometimes things are just out of their hands .
So , we close this edition of GBSUP news with the hope that races will continue to go ahead as planned , and we very much look forward to seeing you on the start line . The future of SUP racing is still looking very bright – best wishes from Team GBSUP and Supjunkie , and we thank you all for your continued support , patience and enthusiasm for the National Race Series .
