SCHWARZ POND PARK
Rosemount park system grows
The city of Rosemount maintains 28 parks ranging
from neighborhood parks with playground equipment
and open air shelters to the baseball/softball/soccer
fi elds complex at the 49-acre Erickson Park north of
Rosemount City Hall at 14115 Brazil Ave.
Along with Erickson Park, which also has tennis
courts, the system is highlighted by the winding and
hilly unpaved trails of the 44-acre Carrolls Woods Park,
which neighbors Schwarz Pond Park behind Rosemount
High School.
Schwarz Pond Park also has a skateboard park north
of the Community Center and National Guard Armory.
The Community Center is the site of the city’s ice arena,
an auditorium, banquet and meeting rooms, and the
Parks and Recreation Department.
Baseball/softball and other open fi elds can be found
primarily at Ames Soccer Complex at Dakota County
Technical College, and at Jaycee, Bloomfi eld, Shannon,
Erickson, Meadows and Winds parks. Central and Jay-
cee parks both have enclosed shelters. Central Park also
features a new splash pad, amphitheater with tiered
seating that can accommodate up to 2,000 people.
Brockway Park, 13669 Bronze Parkway, features a
disc golf course. Charlie’s, 3155 144th St. W.; Bloomfi eld,
14225 Bloomfi eld Path; Claret, 15130 Claret Ave., and Er-
ickson parks have tennis courts, with Claret also being
home to pickleball.
The city opened baseball and softball fi elds in 2013
south of County Road 42 on UMore Park land dedicated
by the University of Minnesota. More fi elds opened in
2014 north of County Road 42 on Akron Avenue at the
Flint Hills Recreation Complex.

Steeple Center
The city-owned and -operated Steeple Center is avail-
able for weddings, meetings, parties, and performances.
The center welcomed a new 10,000-square-foot addition
in 2015 that includes a gathering space and rooms for
hosting meetings and programs. The maximum seating
capacity in the banquet room is 192 with 5-foot round
tables and 204 in theater-style rows. It is located at
14375 S. Robert Trail. For more information about rent-
