Area festivals, events attract regionally
Oktoberfest, typically held the last Saturday in Sep-
tember, Kelley Park, 6855 Fortino St., Apple Valley. Mu-
sic, food and activities highlight this recently established
festival. More information is at avoktoberfest.com.
Other area festival and events in Dakota County in-
clude:
Pinky Swear MessFest – This annual event typically
held in June, at the Pro Paintball course, 22554 Texas
Ave., Lakeville. The event includes a youth and fam-
ily slopstacle course event with 1- and 2-mile options.
There were 10 slopstacles over the course of 2 miles.
Participants and volunteers are being sought. More is at

Block Bash – typically held in early June, Market
Plaza, Lakeville. Features music, food trucks, beer and
spirits. Must be 21 or older with valid ID to attend. Or-
ganized by the Downtown Lakeville Business Associa-
tion, www.downtownlakeville.com.
Eagan July 4th Funfest – July 3-4. Features the Eagan
Ambassador program, a carnival filled with rides and
games, live entertainment, parade and fireworks. More

Lakeville’s Pan-O-Prog – July 3-14. Events and activi-
ties are scheduled including a classic car cruise, grand
parade, lots of food and music and fi reworks on the
Fourth of July. More information can be found at www.

Burnsville Fire Muster — Sept. 4-9. 2019. Features
wine tasting, beer tasting, entertainment, fi reworks, car-
nival rides, children’s activities, emergency personnel
demonstrations, food and beverages from local restau-

Lakeville Art Festival – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 14
and 15, 2019, Lakeville Area Arts Center, at 20965 Holy-
oke Ave. Each year, the festival hosts approximately 60
exhibitors who show and sell their work in many forms
and media including visual, performing, and literary.
The event includes a featured artist exhibit, artist dem-
onstrations, Youth Art Tent, performing and literary art-

Lone Oak Days – Sept. 21-22, 2019, Holz Farm Park,
4665 Manor Drive, Eagan. Go back in time to the early
1940s as this family friendly includes hay rides, pie eat-
ing contests, games and activities for all ages to enjoy.
